Mary E. Bassett, Esq. is an attorney in private practice in Acton, MA. Mary has practiced law full-time for 40 years since graduating with honors from Suffolk University School of Law in 1981 (B.A. Tufts University, 1978). After clerking for the Supreme Judicial Court, Justice Paul J. Liacos, Mary joined the Boston firm of Lyne, Woodworth & Evarts as a litigation associate. In 1984, Mary moved to southern Illinois, where she opened her own law office. Returning to Massachusetts in 1993 Mary joined the Acton law firm of Wilson & Orcutt and practiced in the real estate, domestic and municipal law areas. Expanding her practice to include business law, Mary currently focuses her business, municipal and real estate practice in an “of counsel” relationship with the firm of McWalter Boisvert Law. Mary is active in the Massachusetts Bar Association High School Mock Trial Committee. Mary is an original and long-time board member of Household Goods Inc., a non-profit corporation in Acton, MA.
